Hi, I’m Journey –
a Licensed Master of Social Work providing therapy for women 18+ across Iowa. Through both personal and professional experience, I’ve developed a deep passion for supporting women navigating anxiety, depression, burnout, and the complex emotions that surface during life’s most vulnerable transitions — including pregnancy, postpartum, infertility, and beyond. I’m also trained in Perinatal Mental Health through Postpartum Support International.
I’m especially drawn to working with women who feel stretched thin, who put everyone else first, or who carry the weight of perfectionism and people-pleasing. My approach is holistic and eclectic, blending practical tools from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused Therapy with a person-centered, intuitive touch.

I believe the answers you’re searching for are often already within you — therapy helps you create enough space, quiet, and self-trust to hear them. In our sessions, I show up as a human first and therapist second: grounded, empathetic, occasionally humorous, and always committed to creating a space where you feel safe to be real.
My background spans work from birth to end-of-life, with extensive experience in labor and delivery, postpartum care, behavioral health, and grief support. These experiences have shaped my belief in resilience, connection, and the healing power of being genuinely seen. Whether you're seeking support during a major transition or simply trying to breathe easier in your daily life, I’m here to walk alongside you.
