Support for fathers, co-parents, and non-birthing partners navigating parenthood, identity shifts, and mental health

Therapy for Partners & Dads

Even though you didn’t carry the pregnancy...

That doesn’t mean you haven’t been deeply impacted.

Whether you’re trying to hold it together while supporting your partner, or still replaying how the birth went because it didn’t go the way you hoped, it’s a lot to carry alone. Perhaps you feel invisible in all of this. Like you’re supposed to stay strong, keep providing, and keep protecting, even when underneath it all, you’re overwhelmed and wondering if anyone really sees how much this has impacted you, too.

Partner mental health matters. And yes, you’re allowed to need support, too.

Therapy for partners & dads can help with…

Perinatal mental health isn’t just for moms. Up to 1 in 10 partners experience postpartum depression and anxiety, and those numbers are likely underreported. In therapy, we create space for everything you’re holding, including:

  • Stress, anxiety, or panic symptoms after the baby arrives

  • Anger or emotional shutdown, especially if you’re used to bottling things up

  • Guilt or helplessness when you don’t know how to help your partner

  • Pressure to provide or perform without showing your own needs

  • Relationship strain in the transition to parenthood

  • Grief or fear after a traumatic birth or NICU stay

  • Loss of identity, freedom, or confidence

Fathers and non-birthing partners often get left out of the conversation. But your well-being affects the whole family.

Therapy can give you the tools to:

  • Cope with stress and life changes

  • Communicate clearly with care

  • Understand your emotional patterns

Rather than trying to get it all “right” (perfection is a myth!), we’ll help you find your footing with support.

  • Be present with your partner & child

  • Feel steady, grounded, and capable

  • Develop confidence as a parent

What therapy can look like

    • Talking through what’s been hard (even if you’ve never done that before)

    • Naming and processing stress or trauma

    • Strengthening communication with your partner

    • Exploring your own mental health patterns

    • Building tools to handle big emotions without shutting down

    • Reclaiming space for your own needs and identity

You don’t need to be in crisis to benefit from therapy. And you don’t have to do this alone.
