Supporting your mental health through the heartbreak, hope, and uncertainty of family building
Therapy for Infertility, Pregnancy Loss & Reproductive Grief
When trying to grow your family doesn’t go as you envisioned
Whether you're navigating infertility, have experienced miscarriage or pregnancy loss, or are grieving what you imagined your journey to parenthood would look like, you are not alone.
Infertility and loss can be isolating, even in the most supportive relationships. You might feel like your body has betrayed you. You may be exhausted by appointments, medical decisions, and endless “what ifs.” You might feel a deep grief that no one else quite understands.
Reproductive trauma isn’t “just a part of life”. It’s a valid source of psychological pain that deserves space, support, and care.
As perinatal therapists, we help people move through the emotional toll of infertility and pregnancy loss with compassion and clarity. Therapy won’t erase the pain, but it can help you carry it with less isolation and more support.
What does therapy for infertility & loss help with?
Therapy can support you through a range of experiences, including:
Uncertainty about continuing family-building
Recurrent pregnancy loss or miscarriage at any stage
Stillbirth or termination for medical reasons (TFMR)
Emotional toll of adoption, surrogacy, or donor conception
Ambiguous grief or unmet milestones
Primary or secondary infertility
Grief after fertility treatment or IVF
These experiences often bring up big, layered emotions: grief, guilt, anxiety, resentment, shame, fear, numbness, and anger. They can also surface past trauma or unmet needs. In therapy, we name what’s happening, build emotional regulation tools, and make space for your whole experience, without judgment.
Why see a therapist who specializes in reproductive mental health?
This work is nuanced. You deserve a therapist who understands the grief of an early loss, the hypervigilance after a miscarriage, or the distress of waiting for two pink lines month after month.
We bring clinical expertise in perinatal mental health, as well as a deeply human understanding of how loss and uncertainty shape our emotional world. We won’t rush your grief. We won’t minimize your pain.
Instead, we’ll walk with you as you move through the questions, the heartbreak, and whatever comes next.
What Therapy Can Look Like
-
Making space for grief in a world that often silences it
Processing trauma from medical procedures, ER visits, or insensitive care
Navigating relationships, especially when others don’t know what to say (or say the wrong thing)
Finding words for your experience when it feels invisible
Exploring your identity when roles, timelines, or expectations shift
Coping with uncertainty and learning to regulate your nervous system
Whether you're in the middle of treatment, grieving a loss, or unsure what comes next, I’ll meet you where you are.
